GENERAL MANAGER AND LEADER OF THE SCIENCE PROGRAM

Walter has over 30 years of experience leading biodiversity assessment programs in Peru. His publications -more than 600 books and guides- have made him the most important author of nature, culture and sustainable resource management experiences in Latin America. He is director of Wust Ediciones and WW Editores, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of Conservación Amazónica ACCA and the Instituto del Bien Común IBC. For 5 years he was a member of the Board of Directors of SERNANP. He is also founder and image of the Environmental Engineering and Management career at UPC. Walter has a Bachelor's degree in Forestry Engineering from the Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina with a specialization in forest management.
