We generate scientific knowledge to strengthen and conserve the value of our forests
The ecosystems of the Amazon are among the most biodiverse on the plant. Within these systems, 30% of the world’s known animal and vegetable species co-exist in perfect harmony. At BAM, we work to generate scientific knowledge about the riches of the Amazon forest to maximize its value and contribute to the conservation of and respect for its biodiversity.
The BAM Science Program permanently assesses ecological wealth in the company’s areas of influence to generate more knowledge of and respect for the extraordinary biodiversity of the Amazon.
To shore up the forest’s capacity, BAM has initiated a process to clone its plus trees to increase the productivity of its plantations by up to 25% a year over the next three years.
Protect and restore the Amazon forests. Generate significant environmental and social benefits and obtain significant financial yields in exchange.
